Mumbai Locals

The mumbai local trains are a source of amazing stories.... funny, sad, angry, touching, i would however focus on the funny part of the mumbai local trains...;The railways as we know has three main routes.. the central from khopli/ karjat to cst, the western from virar to churchgate...and the harbour line..heheh i still do not know from where to where it extends!!!! now the thing is that i travel almost on a daily basis from my house which is vikhroli to my college in sion.. and from my house again to thane to my institut where i learn german...so basically the time in which i commute is mostly the peak hour.. and also the most evntful time of the day where i get to savour the original flavour of the mumbai locals... enlisted below are some of my most memorable experiences.........

#1: The Ladies Special:
It comes from kalyan a far off surburb in mumbai... a boon for the working women of mumbai.... a train where they can escape lecherous men and catcalls...it so happened the other day: it was morning time and the train was late.. so the platformwas jam packed with women ... ready to board the train as if they were preparing for a war..as the train pulled in i managed to sqeeuze in somehow... now the train slowly picked up speed..it pulled in at kurla were i do not know how but the first class got more than half empty and i could breathe!!!! the train waited at kurla for about ten minutes for reasons unknown..it was then i suddenly noticed a few men thanks to my habit of footboard travelling.. in their late twenties running all the way from the first compartment to the last compartment in vain desperation.. i couldnt figure out what was going on.. until after running up and down twice or thrice someone in the back;supposedly their slowest runner yelled "arre yaar kidhar gaya gents compartment???" Hahahahahahahahhaahhaha.. i laughed till it hurt my stomach.. so were all the ladies who heard them and knew what they were upto..hahahahahahaha.. bad bad bad but so so so funny....probably they hadnt heard the announcer say " paltform kramank do ki local mumbai chatrapati shivaji terminus jaanewali mahila vishesh dheemi local hai purush pravasi krupuya isme na chadhe!!" hahahahaha....
